HOLIDAYS

it's my 2 weeks break now (1 week left). what have i been doing? initially, slacking was what i had in mind. well, bullshit if you compare to reality.

my first week was spend on researching a NYAA land expedition. we are going to TAMAN NEGARA NATIONAL PARK (MALAYSIA)! it's a 5D4Ns trip. yet to finalise but, it's either there or we stay in singapore. full stop. went for lifesaving lessons on monday and wednesday.

i visited a social centre for the needy on friday. it's a centre that provides free tuition for needy children. it's the holidays so lessons have ceased. after researching on the internet, i contacted the in-charge went there for an orientation. located at jurong east, it's quite accessible from my house. (187 brings me to the entrance) wei ling, a social worker, showed me around. an affable lady, she was from NP too, early childhood education. what surprised me when i saw the kids was that.. they were all malays.*no offense to my malay friends, i am just surprised, nothing else. wei ling said they will try to bring in kids from other races soon. after the orientation, i went for a run with chee hong. standing board jump (SBJ) practise was next. if i don't clear the SBJ station and end up getting bronze/pass, it will be an absolute waste. *considering i can clear every other station with 5 points. ok ok, i am bragging again. haha. it will be a waste for hong too. met up with lian kai after that. it was well over 10.30pm when he met us at tiong bahru BK.

saturday afternoon was spend researching on the NYAA expedition.. again. guitar lesson was next at 8pm. damn. i was lost when they started strumming. i could only stare in bewilderment when everyone else played. =/

we were supposed to suntan/swim this morning, but the rain screwed everything. instead, we went paragon to register our mizuno 10km run. it's at temasek poly, 22nd july 2007. reuben, chee hong, lian kai and i will be taking part. ole.
