BBQ 2006

22th dec, friday- BBQ DAY! Met up with the rest of the purchasing crew and we bought our stuff at giant, imm. $108+ if i'm not wrong. it was lunch at LJS before we splitted into 2 groups. the guys (lian kai, chee hong, khai huat, slang, and the bbq stuff) took taxi, the girls (eileen, wenting, minci, and su-ngin) took the train.
the bbq pit we booked initially, pit 29, was unsuitable for human usage. packed our bags and headed for other pits. apparently, pit 30 onwards were renovated. (-_-) suay, right? just a slight number difference. and ya, farid and the girls reached just in time to help with the bbq stuff.

got to work almost immediately after the change. but first, a game of big two to decide who will start the fire. "lucky" khai huat and farid got the honour. meanwhile, lian kai entertained himself with a newly bought kite. the girls started cleaning and marinating the food. 3 clts from 52th clt came too. wenting's babies. XD

the rain tried to spoil our bbq fire, fortunately we brought umbrellas! though, we still have to thank the sky for not increasing the amount of rain. syahir and priscilla came at 8.30pm. we talked cock and mingled around. looking at the kind of food we bbq-ed, i must say, all our efforts were worth it.


it's palpable how delighted they are! (khai huat is forcing a smile. he's angry cause they are eating his food. su-ngin isn't happy too. her mega-watt smile is being blocked by eileen's head. chee hong is at his usual self, acting cute. (-_-) look at eileen, her hand. a "V" sign for being victorious in stealing huat's food. minci looks lovely, straight out of a commerical selling hotdogs.)

GROUP PICTURE. syahir and shuqing are the only ones missing from our gang of 48th. (i know, some of you might argue there's more. jun seng, qidao, zhen an, etc. to each its own. personally, i feel the 11 of us are the core.)

junda, francis, theeben and weisheng from 46th and 47th clt came too. they had a chalet at costa sands. i felt that their presence brought much more laughter to our bbq. (ok, at the expense of theeben and khai huat. i shall not go into details of the conversation) 11.30pm. for some, it was time to leave. su-ngin, minci, farid, khai huat, syahir and priscilla left. the rest of us? we played cards till 4am, packed up, had breakfast, walked to mrt station and ta da, it was the end of our bbq.
